I have been my flight simulator console for almost two years now. (this is version 2). It uses an 8/8/8 IFK with 4 slider potetiometers, two 16/16/0 IFKs, and an LED64.
*If you know airplanes you will understand this paragraph*
The base is the GO-FLIGHT FLIGHT DECK CONSOLE. I use the 8/8/8 to control the mixture handles that you see in the bottom along with the engine switches above the throttle. The throttle is a saitek
X-52 that I "built into" the box. The middle section will contain the annunciator panel (I am still in development). One 16/16/0 controls the light plate and switches built into it. The other 16/16/0 controls the approach lights and a prop control panel out of a DC-6 that I converted (not pictured).
It works well with the FS2PHIDGET program created by Allen Dyer.
Just thought I would share my little project titled "thinking outside the box, within a box"

**edit: The annunciator was taken out of a Grumman OV-1 Mohawk
