It's still in the "beta" stage. Feel free to use it, but I still have a little bit of work to do with it. Once you see an official announcement in the TR Blog (http://blog.trossenrobotics.com/index.php) and an announcement thread here in the TR Community, that's when you know everything is 100% up and running.

BTW, let me know what you think of it; both good and bad.

Yeah, I'm having some serious troubles with this software with both support and functionality. I'm looking into a different app right now, so I disabled the current one. I'll hopefully have the new one up and running shortly.

Whoops, sorry guys. I forgot to update this thread. Our chatroom is officially working now. It looks like all of the bugs are worked out. It works great so check it out! Just click Chat in the navbar at the top:)

We'll be doing an official announcement of this soon, along with all of the other really cool features we've added to the TR Community recently.

I keep missing everyone in Chat!
This site (overall) is really taking off.
Would setting an online seminar on a timely topic help get folks into the chat room? Online chat may or may not be the best locale for this, just a thought.

that's a pretty good idea kdwyer! We've been tossing up ideas on how to get everyone in the chatrooms at the same time. I was just thinking about setting a specific time and have a free for all, but setting a topic and time is even better:D I'm wondering if we should setup a poll for a topic...

I think there should be a "chat night" where community members have a time and a place to meet and get together and hang out for an hour or less. A poll where members can vote on the best time and day would be great. I'm sure a lot of members work at all different times during the week, so if we can have a vote that will get the most people together, that would be great.

It's worth a try and it might be a good way to get members to use it more often. Perhaps Every Friday night members can get together and talk about anything. Anyway, a poll would be best.

I think a poll is a great idea! Start it up, let me know if you need any help getting a poll started on a thread. It's pretty easy, but can be a little tricky:) After work is the best time for probably most people here. Just be sure to specify what Time Zone. We (Trossen Robotics) are in CST, so our best times would probably be 6, 7, or 8 PM CST.
