I've always found spherical robots pretty fascinating. Controlling this kind of bot requires basically swinging a weight back and forth to tilt the body and make it turn. I saw one design that had a gas engine, which drove the bot but was also used as ballast for turning. I'll have to look up some links. There were a bunch of them rolling around at Burning Man last year, apparently.

Hmmm I wonder if they have some kind of wireless charging going on. I guess for a bot this size it's probably just a hatch you open up.
