Does anyone make a clutch servo? A servo that will spin freely when not receiving a signal. This would be very useful to me but I have a feeling there is no such item.

What use do you have for this?

I need it for a robotic hand. I can finish it without it if I a make a mechanical gear clutch, But if I could find a preexisting product it would make things much easier, and save me some design time and cutting time.

When you say "spin freely", do you mean a continuos 360 degree freely?

Yes 360 it will be attached to a gear that will turn 1 1/2 rotations.

the closest thing I can think of are the ax-12's, but those typically aren't "freely" spinning when no power is sent. They can be moved continuously when no power is sent though.
