This is my latest creation of a small minivehicle builded for measuring a room sizes and it`s orientation. The data is send to a PC on which you can see the room shape and it`s size.

================================================== ================================================== =
The project was build with a few dollars , below you can see the original RC car which I transformed in a room mapper robot called "TINY" :happy:

This is the remote controll that I hacked :

And the final product:

================================================== ========================================
The functionality is very simple:
On the left side of the vehicle are 2 proximity sensors which guide "TINY" to follow the wall. In front I have 1 more infrared sensor and 1 clamp, so that the vehicle can avoid any obstacle. The scanned distance is sent to a PC, for a room arhitecture visualization. At the backside of "TINY", on a small stick is another sensor called CMP03(electronic compass). This sensor tell us the direction that the vehicle is heading(like North, North-East,West ....), very usefull for orientation.

This is a really cool bot Vodka_Man! I have a ton of questions for you, but first, have you considered entering this in the TRC contest (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/contest.aspx)? If you want to enter it in the contest, PM me and I'll move this over to the Project Showcase forums (http://forums.trossenrobotics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=101).

Nice work on this bot vodka! I got you entered in the contest, thanks:)

What are you using to stream data back to the PC?

Do you happen to have any closer pix of the guts? I can't see all of the parts to flood you with questions:D
