my armswill have small servos for each finger with a return spring, rotate motor using a high torque low rpm motor with gear box and servo to pwm with pot feedback circuit, elbow near the same with higher torque motor,on arm rotate car window motor with feedback pot, also all using lazy susans

Thanks for the info! I'd need to see that work. How much accuracy are you getting?

havent yet finished it,still working on the frame and getting ready to add the motors,i got most of the parts in

just got my motors in for the arm rotate, building a gear box is my next project for the arm rotate work it so i will have 560 oz thats 35 lb at .5 amp 6 volt motor at 6 rpm might build a rc to h bridge driver,or hack a cheap servo board or buy esc motor controller

That's 560 oz/in, right?

You know that that means it will lift 560oz at that shaft for 1" before it stalls and proceeds to let the magic smoke escape, right?

It's a measure of torque that has to be converted, not a measure of sustained work.

stall torque is 2136 oz/in at 1.9 amp

What motors are these?

motor i has stall torque of 534 oz/in at 26 rpm and the gear box is a 4-1,thats how i got 2136oz/in at 6 rpm
for the 560 oz ,motor at .5 amp has 140oz/in x4 for gear box ratio
also most motors and i think servos may not have a adjustable current limit on my h bridge it will

i was comparing it to hsr-5990tg and it look much better lower current drive, little more torque, speed a little fast and all this with out the 4-1 gear box at $14.80 each only need servo to h bridge circuit with feedback and you have a homemade servo,i made a few but never compare it to hitec or other servo's

ok someone said they wanted to see my robot design
here is a photo of my beer-bot,has a lot more added since this photo
but one i get my test-bot design in 2 months will add more stuff, using the test-bot to test sensors and other stuff before i place them on my main robot design
have motors added, main control board added, batteries, fast itx board and some servos for arms, does carry 300lbs or more if neededcan sit in it no problem and carry me around
