Hi,

Okay, I built some RoboTargetBots (R2PRTBv1) for my gaming robots to run around in a large gaming arena to shoot their laser guns at each other and at the targets ... and here's a demo of my RoboNova-1 testing his skills at target shooting a target with his embedded laser gun ...

Yeah, the laser module in inserted into the fist of the RoboNova-1 and wired to a PWM/Relay switcher on channel 15 ...

Here's the code change I made in the stock Bow pose ... I commented out the original pose and replaced the code with a set of capture lines ... then edited the capture lines for port 15 the laser ON/OFF control ... that's the 10/178 found in the lines.

Hi CK4F.

Have you had a read through any of the previous winning contest entries? You'll see that they have a LOT of detail generally. That kinda detail is what really makes 'em, I think...

Maybe give us all a bit more detail on the "hows and whys" and such?

Hi,

I'm not sure what you're looking for ??? Laser modules can be had in millions of online and other shops ... they're just diodes ... hook it up to a power source and it lights-up. So I drilled a hole in the end of my RoboNova-1 paw ... inserted a small laser module inside the paw ... ran the wires to a PWM/Relay module that I connected to port 15 in the RoboNova-1 ... added a little code to aim and shoot at the R2PRTBv1 (RoboTargetBot) when I press on #1 on the remote control. This isn't brain surgery.

The R2PRTBv1 is setup as a Big Bad Bob the Bandit demo target for the R2Pv1 gaming system. You can see more details about that on the website;
http://www.opecofthewest.com/

On YouTube I have several videos I've uploaded showing off the different R2PRTBv1 setups I have in my gaming arena as well as info on RCMBs and other R2P robots ... Just do a search on R2Pv1

This was the kinda detail I was suggesting usually does well in contests: http://forums.trossenrobotics.com/showthread.php?t=1981

Just trying to be helpful.
