The MechRC Humanoid is totally new to me. Anyone else see this yet? Man, it's getting hard to keep up with everything coming out. Says it's due in the fall and I wonder what the price will be.

The bot looks awesome, the kit looks well done too, but it looks like old school PWM servos which I consider to be yesterdays technology now that we have smart actuators in the market. Opinions? Do people still think the older servos are okay since it saves major cost? I'm curious what the community thinks.

Cool looking bots, I've heard they're akin to the Robophilo in terms of servo strength, but they're also planning to be quite competitively priced.. Great middle range bots though and the aesthetics are outstanding.

Oh man, just saw that controller and the software. They may not be heavy duty in terms of servo strength, but those bots just look awesome. LOVE the Groundpounder model. I think they would definitely be an excellent addition to the Trossen lineup of humanoids.

5 years from now, you'll be able to get a humanoid bot on every streetcorner.

Amazing to see how fast the developments are going.

And I agree with Tyb, that groundpounder is way cool :veryhappy:

Anyone know when they will go on sale?

Not sure, the site keeps saying "this fall" so my guess is towards the end of the year...

I'm interested in just the aesthetics alone... The servos could probably be thrown away, but outfit it with some powerful digital ones and you probably got a cool looking biped.

The quality of it is yet to be seen... I think this company is based in Hong Kong, so I question the quality...

As far as the servos go, did you see the dance evolution video, Tom?
