Ok, so I promised Adrenalynn that I'd post this up when I had more time. It doesn't look like "more time" is ever going to happen, so I'll put something together real quick:D

At Maker Faire 07, Trossen Robotics had put a couple of cool apps together to show off some of our products.

Before I go into this, sorry but I don't have any better pix of the gallery.

It's been way too long since I opened this app, so I'm really going off of memory here, but I think:

Hardware used:

1x 8/8/8 Interface Kit (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/store/p/5341-InterfaceKit-8-8-8.aspx) for powering the LED's
2x Wireless Logitech Gamepads
8x Phidget Vibration Sensors (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/store/p/3233-Vibration-Sensor.aspx)
2x 4-motor PhidgetServo Controller (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/store/p/3188-Servo-4-Motor-Controller.aspx)
2x Banebot motor controllers (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/store/p/4265-BaneBots-Motor-Controller-9A-peak-.aspx) (controlled by PhidgetServo Controller)
2x airsoft guns
2x Electro-lights for winners
1x Phidget 0/0/4 Interface Kit (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/store/p/3203-InterfaceKit-0-0-4.aspx) for triggering the electro-lights
6x plexiglass sheets for targets
6x felt squares to cover plexiglass to reduce the # of airsoft bb's from breaking 2 colors for each player
lots of bb's
Lots of PVC pipe for frame of targets and frame of shooting gallery
magic carpet to drape around the shooting gallery

Software Interface:
The entire project was programmed with C# 2005. I'm attaching the program for anyone that'd like to take a look at the code, but my pre-apologies for the lack of comments and sloppiness in some areas. I was in a HUGE rush to get this done in time and didn't have time to clean things up. I didn't upload it to the member uploads section, because I can't really support it. It's been too long and it's just too sloppy for me to figure out what I was doing. I didn't think I'd ever have anyone wanting to look at it.

Object of Game:
Two competitors would pick up the gamepads. Once they're ready, I would "flip the switch" to activate the game. The vibration sensor had a range applied to it to make the target harder/easier to hit. Once a deactivates a target, the LED attached to that target would go out (or on, can't remember for sure). Once all targets of that player's color are deactivated, that player's electro light would activate and the crowd would cheer (sometimes;))
