Really Cheap Wireless?!

So I pulled this out of a $5 xbox 1 wireless controller. Got the controller, and the receiver for five bucks. Now, I'm speculating a ton here, but from my understanding x-box controllers are basically USB controllers with a propriatarty plug, yes? So theoretically if I can map the pins on this device, along with the pins on the receiver (which should already be mapped since its just standard x-box plug at that point) I could make a really really small, cheap usb wireless connection. I do not know what type of network this runs off of, nor do I know of any way of finding out, but I'll see what I can do. Should be fun!

E', can you try to get a sharper (macro) pic of the board?
Or at least supply us with the markings on the IC? That way we might be able to reverse-engineer it a bit and get you going faster!

The second line might not be quite right, its very tiny.

It's a UHF transmitter from TI. Recognize the part number.

Now that I was first in there, more details. It's a programmable part. I've used it before. It's 300Mhz-999Mhz RF.

There should be some info after the 1050 like "PW" or "PWR" or "RTB" ? Also, is there a logo on it?

Any other chips in that controller anywhere? (well, yeah, there are, but...) There really has to be a microcontroller involved too, because you'll need to encode the data (Manchester coding) I believe.
