HI,
I have recently noticed the italian I-droid, and have searched the web for information. I have found out that it was provided by a magazine which had about 75 books and that they come with bits of the robot. I like the looks and AI of the robot. I am wondering if I could get some more info on this bot. Are there any people who own this robot?
Also, what other robots are there that have complex AI?

Looks like the official home has moved here: http://www.i-d01.deagostini.it/frontend/

If Italian isn't your favorite language - google translate is worth a shot...

Hello,

I have an I-droid. I like it alot. One of the things that I learned from it is that you can compartmentalize a robot so that it is easier to upgrade it as you go allong. The down side is that I have not been able to reprogram its speech recognition to understand english as it has never been released in an english format.

It has been a long time project of mine to mount its head on a robonova body and make the whole thing PC driven.

Hello,

The best AI I have seen is evolution robotics ER-1 they do not make them anymore, but there is an on going rumor that they are making another run of them fairly soon.

The AI is a combination of if~then behaviors with Vision based recognition. The Robot is basically two stepper motors a PC and a web cam. Of course there is an accompanying structure, but the design if very simple and lacks the humanoid appearance of the I-droid.
