One of the main problems with this elios, is the size of the camera, it would have to be stripped down to reduce it for biped use, Plus the power comes from the Vex box it's self, Ok for tracked bots.I guess that it also depends on communication between camera and the vex box, Not sure if it can be used on other systems.I have had no experience with it.

It's just an over-priced dumb 2.4Ghz NTSC camera. Works (poorly) with anything you can fit it on.

I can point you at other 2.4G choices, I'm just not fond of 'em in general.

I don't know if more input on the subject is still necessary, but I can tell you that I actually have one of these cameras and it's pretty awful. I don't know what other 2.4G cameras are like, but the slightest physical obstruction, like a single sheet rock board, causes intense amounts of interference. Similarly, moving more than 14 feet from the source causes the signal to cut out almost completely. I couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Certainly sounds like a dud unit eh, You would have to wonder why manufacture's produce rubbish like that.

2.4ghz is inherently problematic when put in motion. Lose the colorburst, lose the sync.
Networking is designed for lost packets with things like forward error correction - so a worst-case is to lose the data until the next keyframe.

If you want non-networked, look to UHF not SHF.
