I emailed Jennie(@Trossen) to see if they offered a package deal if I bought a Bioloid comprehensive kit, new hand held zig controller and JIS screwdriver set. The answer was no, saying I had to buy I think it was 5 or 10 at a time to get a discount. Well, I went ahead and bought all those items. What puts a bug up my...is that two days after I purchased these items I get an email saying the Bioloid is now 799.00 . Not trying to start anything or am I mad at Trossen or any of their employees but she could have told me to wait a couple days to get sale price! Oh well, not the first time I got the short end of the stick. Sorry everyone, just had to vent and yes, I feel a tiny bit better. This being said, I would or will still buy from them but I guess I better ask if they are going to have any sales first.

Why not call and ask for the sale price anyway? and if they offer to give it to you...then again...

Hi HM,

I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but it might help your purchasing decisions in the future.

The week of Black Friday is a tradition in the US. Weird "once in a lifetime" opportunities always present themselves during that time. If my shopping decisions are going to be made during that week, I always wait until first thing Friday to check my options, then pull the trigger QUICK to make sure I get whatever limited stock is on-hand.

Black Friday sales are generally one [or both] of two things: Loss-Leaders and/or EoY Inventory Clearance. Keep your eyes peeled and your credit-card loose in your wallet during that week. If it's a one-day sale, pull the trigger. If it's a week-long sale, wait for Friday (unless you're worried about stock levels) and see what crops-up.

OEM's and Manufacturers also need to clear the liabilities before EoY tax time - sometimes retailers don't even know until the last minute that the manufacturer is going to kick-back steeply for sales during that week - so it's not always safe to suggest the order-taker should have known.

I haven't any inside info here, just speculating that you got bit by the "dang. Should have waited for Black Friday" bug. It's happened to me many a time.

Maybe I should not have even brought it up, might be the pain meds I'm on. Makes me a little loose at the mouth. Just had a major surgery and after everything was said and done it cost me almost 600.00 w/private room upgrades and such. Only reason I asked if they had a deal or discounts. Thanks guys for helping ease my pains. LMAO, that's all you can do!!!!! Live and Learn, I guess.

Comfort! I know the feeling - but I didn't escape for $600. Add a couple zeros there. [sigh]

On the plus side, I saved tens of thousands of dollars buying only catastrophic insurance. On the down side, I spent tens of thousands of dollars by buying only .... ;)
