Just a side project I'm working on while my mech parts are off being machined...

21 DOF Bioloid humanoid, torso rotate as well as additional DOF in the arm have been added... and well, I sorta gave him a new color scheme.

Still need to finish wiring him and setup the Bioloid Boomerang Controller. (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/Bioloid-Boomerang-Controller-w-Zig-100-Set.aspx)

Trying not to go too crazy with this one for now as I have far too many projects on my plate as is.

That's hot. I gave up on the gorilla configuration for now as the servos just aren't strong enough for it. I was thinking of either going back to the humanoid and ordering some extra AX-12's or building the AX-12 modded version of the phoenix hexapod.

Nice config.

Wow! Very nice, it give off this really realistic human look to it. REally good compared to other humanoids I've seen!

Glad you like it!

I published a step by step tutorial on dying the Bioloid brackets here. (http://forums.trossenrobotics.com/showthread.php?t=2861)

Yup! Robotis was supposed to release their english documentation on it and as far as I can tell they have not yet.

Top notch! Love the extra DOF in arms. The proportions just look right. Nice 'dye' tutorial. I had heard it doesn't go so well (seen purply-brown results). Because of that I just spray-painted my Bioloid flat black - used Krylon Fusion for a better 'stick' to plastic/nylon. Your results very pro indeed! Will it make a showing at RoboGames, perhaps?

Yeah it should be displayed at the Trossen Booth... now will it be functional? Probably not.

My hands are completely full with finishing the Mech Warfare competition stuff and my own Mech.

Wow, this makes the Bioloid look...well...plainly put, awesome. That is something I was thinking of doing to the Robobuilder. But it is probably much stronger and looks totally sweet. You guys make it look so easy.:robotsurprised:
