Bre of Make magazine fame is pre-selling a tabletop rapid prototyping machine. It looks pretty nifty and the kit comes with 5lbs of ABS. Having one of these would really add a lot of capabilities to any lab. I wish it had more info and dimensions listed though.

Interesting, those are the same things offered at the reprap store - http://store.rrrf.org/. I've been looking at a place to get components since they've been out of stock on a lot of them.

As I understand, RRRF is no longer going to be selling most items, they are just focusing on the research side of things, and leaving selling stuff to others.

I was thinking that the $100 toolhead could be a great starting point for a project. It's the piece of the puzzle with the real voodoo aspect to it.

Wow, I just read the March 16 entry at rrrf.org. It's good to know that Zack is behind MakerBot Industries. Thanks for bringing this product and news to our (my) attention!
