Hi I am planning to build a rover sometime this summer ( I start a lil bit early to do as much saving [ hard for a 15-year old without a job to save up for robot parts :veryhappy:] and do as much planning an research as i can) and the robot will have a Ping))) ultrasonic sensor, 2 photoresistors, and an ifrared thermometer module for multiple modes and behaviours. The sensors will be mounted on the head ( with probably 3 servos for nice panning and tilting motions ) with a few extras on the sides. I am going to program it in C probably using an AVR or PIC microcontroller. I am not quite sure how i would program the microcontroller to read the infrared temperature sensor in C ( all Parallax's examples are in PBASIC) and i am still learning C also. Has anyone else used this or had an idea of how to use it? I am no C expert and have never used this sensor before so any help is appreciated :D
