Hello all,

Has anyone used the EX-106 in a project yet? If not any particular reason, size/weight/power constraints?

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone used them, yes. Have they posted about it here? Not really. There are a few pics floating around of the Farrell's bigger bots (look in the robogames gallery).

Main reason for lack of people on this forum using them: cost. Considering each servo is $499, and then you have to add custom brackets (I'm not aware of any existing ones easily for sale), I'd imagine you'd be very hard pressed to build a 16-20DOF humanoid for less than $15k (even if you used lesser RX-64s or 28s in the arms). That's well outside most hobbyists lifetime budget for robotics expenses. These suckers are definitely constrained to high-end R&D work, the kind you typically don't turn around and share with everyone....
