Does anyone know whether the RoBoard GPIO lines output 5v or 3.3v ? I've looked through the RoBoard documentation, but I can't locate an answer. There's a motor controller I'm interested in, but it's not compatible with 3.3v signals.

Thanks !

Hi,

I asked the same question to the engineer at DMP (Anthony) who told me this: the Roboard can be run on voltages between 6V and 24V. All the PWM ports therefore will feature the same voltage. The total board can handle about 10A but if you have strong motors I suggest you supply the power with separate power lines, not through the RoBoard.

The PWM signal pin has an output of fixed 3.3V and can drive only 8mA. When designing own IO-Board or Servos one has bear this in mind. I would not want to blow my RoBoard through overload.

Hope this helps.

All the best,
