Welcome to the new home of the Knoxville robotics meetup forums. We will use this forum for discussing various projects and things going on with our group.
Thanks to Trossen for allowing us to experiment with this and hopefully we will be able to share information a bit more seamlessly in the future.
If you have any questions then feel free to ask.
cheers,
Jesse

Wohoho! Our own little play ground on Trossen, How fun!
Thanks, Connor (aka Billy)
Wow, didn't expect to find this here! I just purchased a Bioloid kit and I'm really enjoying it. My first step is to get a quad walking. Not as easy as I thought it would be. Maybe one day I'll compete in Mech-warfare.
I played around with different leg configurations and settled on this one for now (attachment).
Does anyone meet locally here in Knoxville? Wouldn't mind getting a little "expert" help with this stuff.

Jesse,
Thanks for the help to get me to the right place. I maybe should have waited longer but I have decided to build the Makey the Robot as described in Make magazine, volume 19, Page 76.
Forget a $50 limit for me. I have spent that already. :veryhappy: I just HAD to start somewhere and I got ants in my pants when I ran across this article.
I may need your help in using a bending brake and band saw.
I have a high school reunion to attend this week so I probably won't have anything of substance to show at the next meeting but at least I will have some of the parts.
Thanks again.

Hey Jay, glad you made it!
As far as Makey goes, if I remember correctly it uses the Arduino controller. The core technology will be the same as what everyone else is using so we should be able to translate stuff between the different robots if there are problems.
I'd be glad to bend some stuff up for you but it may be a few weeks. I'm moving on the 23rd and most of my tools are being boxed.
This is great! I'm glad to see this project moving along and people getting hardware running. Awesome!
Jesse,
i hope this reply gets thru. Yes the makey uses the ardunio. Should have parts soon. I'm still in illinois at class reunion but will be back in time for the meeting on the 20th.
