Hey, just a couple of quick questions regarding the hook-up of the Phoenix to a Windows Vista:

(1) Is there any step by step process that I should know about so I can get my Phoenix talking to Lynxterm and Atompro IDE?
(2) Does the Lynxterminal and the Atompro IDE NEED to use COM3? I think it does based on my experience. Whenever I plug in the DB9 cable & adapter, it always uses COM6. And whenever I use COM6, it never works.

First question (2), No LynxTerm and the AtomPro work on whatever comm port that is connected up to the SSC-32 or the Atom Pro. Have you tried working through the different tutorials up on the Lynxmotion website? You might try looking at: http://www.lynxmotion.net/viewtopic.php?t=4702 for information about serial connections.

Also are you using the tutorial on building the phoenix/ Bot Board 2 tutorial (http://www.lynxmotion.com/images/html/build139.htm)to build your phoenix? If so what step are you on?

I hope that helps
Kurt

Thank you, that helped a lot.
So now that I've gotton through most of the Bot Board II Tutorial, I've run into a new problem.
In the BASIC AtomPro IDE, I've gone through steps 1-6 in the BASIC AtomPro Programming Tutorial (http://www.lynxmotion.com/images/html/build147.htm), but ran into a problem on step 7. When I try to run 'aprotut1', Build reads back;

Starting Compiler...
Preparing Files...
Error: Could not open System file, Sys.mac
Errors Detected

I reread the tutorial but it seems I'm kindof stuck in the mud, so to speak.:p Any advice on what to do?

What happens if you try Phoenix 1.3? Same thing?

Which version of the Basic Atom Pro IDE are you running? I would recommend using their latest versions of their Studio: http://basicmicro.com/downloads/software/BasicMicroStudioSetup_1-0-0-14.exe. It is working well for me. I have found it best to completely unload and previous version before I reinstall a new version.

With Phoenix 1.3, nothing (I think, I'll try again when I can).
I'm running the latest version of the IDE, I downloaded it yesterday.

If you can download Phoenix 1.3 without error, then you should be able to proceed with getting your Phoenix up and running.

Hi,

This error isn't a default comipler error. There should be something wrong with your IDE. Try to reinstall the IDE. You can find the latest version by folowing kurt's link.

Good luck,

Xan

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! IT WORKS! THANK YOU!
Ok, so now I've run the test program.

Oh, um, Andrew,... I somehow lost the link to the Phoenix 1.3 that you gave me and I can't find it again. Would you mind posting it for me? Thanks.
