Is there any example codes for the Bioloid premium kit that is in english? Or could someone help me out on how to use the Gyro and some examples on how to use the program? It is so different from the last version...

Attached is some example gyro code for the Bioliod Premium kit.
This task code comes from Robotis. I have some of my own code that I have written that is somewhat similar and can work while the robot is standing still as well. I can post that a bit later.

Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the program. I think I am getting the hang of it. Where did you find it from Robotis?

How do I download moion data in the new program?

Happy holidays to you as well!

How do you work the Roboplus Motion? I can't change the robot file and there is none to change it to anyway. How are those who have the premium kit doing it?

Check this location out for files

Unfortunately, the English code from robotis.dyndns.org does not quite exactly match the Korean code. I found some of Pedro's code on Robosavvy and loaded it onto the bot. After I was done trying it out, I loaded the English code onto the bot. When using the remote control, the bot continued to walk in a direction, even after I stopped pressing the direction button. This was not the out-of-the-box behavior. It also seemed like the walking gait was not quite as smooth, though that could be just because I normally stopped the bot when it would get tipsy, and with this task program, it wouldn't stop. I later found that hitting one of the number buttons could break it out of its walk cycle.

The Korean TSK and MTN files can be found at http://support.robotis.com/ko/product/bioloid/premiumkit/download/bioloid_premium_demo.htm. The filenames are in English, so you don't need to know Korean to download and install them. You just need to know Korean to read the comments and variable names.

See my post in the ultimate bioloid thread about fixing the english code.

Try Google Translate (http://translate.google.com/#) or Yahoo Babel Fish (http://babelfish.yahoo.com/).

The babel fish didnt do a very good job of translating the symbols. I just compared the symbols and found that they weren't the same for the walkstate variable. After reading the code I determined the proper variable to for walkstate=walkcommand.

On another note, in the type C task file if the DemoMode comment is not properly translated you will get an error when checking code. Just scroll down to the section for DemoMode and retype the header comment. Again the walkstate=walkstate needs to be changed.

Another handy tip, just to see if your gyro is hooked up properly. Insert a line before the exit } at the end of the code and insert

If gyrouse=true
{
Aux Led = 1;
}

Now when the gyro is in use the aux led will light. If it doesn't then you know the gyro is not working right.
