...or 'Art & Design' to us Brit folks. I certainly wont call this a tutorial since I really don't think anyone could get any use out of it, but I was bored and obviously had time on my hands. So with extremely limited resources I set about making my lil bot a cover.

All I had to begin with (not even glue)

I emptied a ten pack of lighters (the type of thing that's lying around my house) and began cutting in to the corners of the plastic so I could fold them over to create the initial 'shell' shape... I then cutout 2 equal sized panels from the lighter cardboard and sellotaped it all together 'Sesame Street' style.

Now... I finally had it looking just like a crappy piece of plastic stuck to some cheap cardboard, so I printed out a hand drawn circuit board and rapped it around my 'shell'.

I "found" (searched everywhere for) some masking tape and began to mask the inside of my masterpiece. I'd been having trouble with my bot being front heavy so I then mummified to two batteries and stuck them in the most rear end of the 'shell'. ;)

This added to the pay load nicely and since the entire thing was only a temporary fitting I figured I could work with it.

By now the initial tarpaulin had been created and thrown over 'Noddy' (so named for his constant nose diving) and it looked, eh. . . but I wasn't done yet.

I stuck on some tough felt (the kind you wouldn't wanna meet down a dark ally) around the white top of 'shell' and trimmed it to shape. Feeling all proud and 'Blue Peter'ish I took it for a little autonomous spin.

I actually quite liked it! But the sides were pushing against the wheels a little bit, so as a final adjustment I pushed some wire raps through holes I made in the side of Noddy's shell and that allowed me to easily tie down the sides of his gazebo.

I Will! By the way I really like the Muppet head on top of your 'Snoopy' Bioloid.
