So, its that time again. I'm just about ready to start production on my new power board, and I want to get some idea of the interest.

Here's what this board does:

- allows you to plug in both wall power (12 volts) and a battery to your bioloid robot
- wall power plug compatible with the bioloid power brick
- battery and output plugs are screw terminals
- when you have both plugged in, it will always power the circuit from wall power, regardless of the battery/wall voltage
- it will auto-disconnect the battery if the pack voltage drops below 9.6 volts (programmable)
- no voltage drop from either wall power or the battery
- open source, on-board ATmega168, Arduino-compatible
- provides a automotive-style blade fuse for output power
- board is rated for 10 amps at 12 volts
- with both wall and battery plugged in, you can unplug wall and it will auto-switch to battery

The board is 1.75" x 1.75" in size, and has a #4-40 hole in each corner (1.5" center to center).

The retail price on this board is going to be $75. Assuming we don't run into any major problems, it should be available around the end of February.

Let me know if this is a board you are interested in buying (reply to this thread)...

This is one of those things that you don't realize you need until you get far enough along in your robot project to realize how much of a hassle it is to not have such a device.

Okay, these have passed beta testing, and are ready to sell now. I'll be adding them to my website over the weekend. I'll post on Monday with a link...

Here's a picture of the production board, btw. The 20 amp fuse will be replaced by a 10 amp fuse.
