View Full Version : pressure sensitive conductive rubber

I made a hit sensor from some conductive rubber that I’m going to use for testing until I can get the official sensors and transponder for my mech. The material is Zoflex. It is a pressure sensitive conductive rubber that was developed here in Knoxville TN by a couple of engineers. Dorothy has moved to CA and still offers it for sale at www.zoflex.com (http://www.zoflex.com/). It’s some really neat stuff. The datasheets are available on her site. I’m using the 0.5mm ZL60.1 for my tests. It can be cut to any shape or size also. Apply pressure and R drops to a few ohms.

Thanks for the post muc, sounds like a cost effective way to test one's targeting system w/o risking damaging the competition approved targets - plus it's just a plain cool material to fool around with! :)
