I've been wanting something like this for a while so finally decided to design one myself. Here is pic of a prototype that I assembled today.

Looks pretty! Can you share construction details? Which CAD did you use (if any)? How did you fab the parts?

I used eMachineShop. I actually ordered a bunch of parts I designed for a project. FYI, for those interested in this service, it's much more affordable to put a lot of parts on one sheet vs having separate files.

I bent these gripper parts myself using a vice and a rubber mallet. I also did some light polishing to make them shine. I'll finish them up a bit more when I get into the final assembly stage.

Oh, and the AX-12 side and "C" brackets are from crustcrawler, with the anodizing removed. I'm not a big fan of these parts, but they are the only aluminum parts like this available. They will eventually have a smooth polished finish as well.

I'd love to see some more pics or even some video of that beauty in action. :D
