I doubt I'm the only one who's wondering what the pro's and con's of the RoboTurret Vision kit (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/p/roboturret-vision-tracking-starter-kit.aspx?a=blackfriday10) would be over the Trendnet setup - any takers?

Wifi vs USB connection? The RoboTurret kit just comes with a webcam, quite different than a Wifi Cam.

They're entirely different. The trendnet is a wireless IP camera -- the webcam on the roboturret needs to be attached to a PC to work (and really, the MosquitIO is designed for that as well, hence the USB). Because of it's SMT design, it'd be kinda hard to attach an XBEE or other wireless serial device to the MosquitIO (you'd have to solder to surface mount traces that go to the FTDI chip).

If you're attaching the turret beside a computer, the turret will be fine. If you're building a mech warrior (or similar device without an onboard PC), the trendnet is the way to go (in conjunction with some sort of control device designed for wireless).
