Hello,

Im working on a project where I have to wirelessly transmit sensor data to a PC from a PIC32 via XBee modules. The signal takes the following path:

PIC32->UART->XBee->wireless->XBee->FT232->USB->PC

Thus far I have been able to connect the PIC to an XBee module (RX and TX of UART) and connect another XBee module to the PC(XBee Explorer). I have been able to send signals to/from the computer through from/to the PIC via the XBee modules by using/monitoring XCTU's terminal.

My question is how to I get the information from XCTUs terminal into my own program? Eventually I will have a separate program running on the PC that grabs sensor data from the PIC and transmits some data back to the PIC. My programming experience is primarily C++, are there any libraries or tutorial out there that would help me?

Thanks in advance,

Timothy Ahong

Do you know how to open a com port in c++? If so, it really is that simple. No additional libraries beyond the standard #includes in your program.
