In celebration for the launch of the EZ-B V3 (www.ez-robot.com (http://www.ez-robot.com)), I built this robot last night.

Has the usual EZ-Builder features:
- voice recognition
- joystick control
- autonomous exploring (with hcsr04 ultrasonic ping sensor)
- etc

Your projects are really quite cool. I know you have some timelapse camera work going on, but how long does it take you to do a project like this?

And how many do you have around the house now?

Thanx dude! My timelapse sure prevents the viewer from getting bored hey? Most of the boring stuff of planning, sitting, staring and blinking (and drinking) is editted. I get a toy and stare at it for a few days. I'll put it on the coffee table and occasionally pick it up with some ideas.

Once i'm confident, I'll set up the camera and dive into it. I hit record when ever i'm confident to make a large change that is video worthy. If it's not, then i don't include the snipplet :)

Most robots are pretty quick, at about 2 hours. Now that I've written EZ-Builder, the software part is already done for me. I simply plug the servos into the robot controller and voila, it's a done deal.

The tough part is figuring out where to put servos and sensors.

The Dalek took me around 2 hours to build. Omnibot originally took about 3-4 hours (including painting). But mostly it's between 2-3 hours.. Music, a cold beer and some alone time! that's the important part... Turning off my cell and avoiding distractions

I have quite a few robots around the house now. Let's see hmmmm.

- walle small
- walle large
- teddy ruxpin
- master blaster
- dog chasing ball
- omni bot
- scarab
- cookie monster
- dalek
- k-9
- the first color following one (no name)
- spider

there are probably a few more but i forget off the top of my head :D

I'm glad u like them!

I hope some of you will make it to Maker Faire in San Fran Bay Area this upcoming weekend. I'll be there at the solarbotics booth demo'ing some of my bots. Stop by and introduce yourself!

I have a project for you -

see if you can create a rival RC system for this dalek of ours, which we are currently slowly slogging on with :D

Very cool! This is my favorite one so far. Have a link to the dalek toy used in this project?

thanx manny! I sadly don't have a link. Someone sent it to me from england, so i imagine it is available there. I didn't even know they made them! Have a gander at ebay and see what you find. It's a good resource for used toys

Thanks DJ, I like your work also! The AIMEC:3 robot works like your bots with a remote PC/laptop doing all the main processing.
