Hi everyone,

I am a beginner with ROS and Ubuntu. There are a lot of tutorials and videos about ROS available, which I would like to use. But unfortunately they aren't intended for people which don't have any knowledge about Ubuntu. For example, the second tutorial on the ROS website, called 'Navigating the ROS filesystem', uses the 'rospack' package (http://www.ros.org/wiki/rospack). How do I install it?
Do you have tips, books or websites for example which might be useful? It would be great if someone can point me in the right direction!

You're welcome Martijn. You may find this link helpful: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FilePermissions, but it would be helpful if you surfaced the issue you're having a bit more - just what issue(s) are you experiencing?
