I am doing simulation on occupancy grid mapping with inverse scanner measurements using IR rangers. Does anyone have any ideas so to how to get the inverse measurement for IR rangers.

Not sure I understand what you mean by "inverse measurement"... are you talking about something like this (http://www.acroname.com/robotics/info/articles/irlinear/irlinear.html)?

what i mean by inverse measurement is, How does the IR ranger calculate the range and bearing relative to an object.

Range is either time of flight (probably interferometric) or possibly strength of reflection (less reliable)
Bearing is either stereo, or servo, or interferometric AFAICT.
Best is to read the data sheet of the sensor you want to emulate.
