This PDF is trashed and I need measures for a project.

(http://www.trossenrobotics.com/p/medium-robot-controller-joystick-3D.aspx)We're ordering a bunch of these to control the head of the Serpent Mother and other applications:

Can we get a better copy of the PDF? (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/p/medium-robot-controller-joystick-3D.aspx)

I'm able to open it without any issues using Adobe Reader 9... try a different viewer/computer maybe?

Most of it looks fine to me, although about half the numbers for the dimensional drawing on the left are seriously blurred.

Seriously blurred. I need all those measurements.

This will be a rather unsatisfactory response, but if you're already going to order them then go ahead, order them then break out the ruler or calipers? From the dimensions you can read you can already get a rough idea.

Yeah, not a terribly good answer...

Understood, but I have the expectation that this is a PDF that Trossen Robotics made using another image from another company. I am hoping they know where that is and can give it to me.

For the base's mounting dimensions, I would guess "M2 x 12", "32.5", and "32.5". So (4) M2 screw holes 12mm deep on a 32.5mm square.

"21.5" from the bottom of the base to the bottom of the boot retention ring. "0.8" from the bottom of the ring to a lip or ridge of some sort? These last two are complete conjecture, but it looks like it might be "46.8" as the length of the knob and maybe "97.1" for the total height. On my 24" monitor at 400% zoom, the 36.6mm width is ~86mm and the knob length is ~106mm and the total height is ~228mm (assuming the image is to scale).

That's good estimation, but, for their sake, and the sake of everyone who wants one, they should fix it.

Working on getting this fixed ASAP. I'll let you know. Thanks for pointing it out, something got messed up when we generated the PDF and it wasn't apparent without zooming in.

Also, blame Kyle.

Edit: FIXED

maybe "97.1" for the total height
gah, over estimated by 3 mm.

Ahhhh, beautiful pixels! So relaxing!

Thanks so much!

Any measures on the bezel mount? Looks like 32.5x32.5mm

Hey, does any one know how to remove the knob for mounting this joy stick? Is there a set screw somewhere? Is the rubber grip removable? Is there some tricky way to get in through the base?

The bellows are really nice, but they make it tough to mount without pulling the knob off...

The main hole for mounting these should be approximately the diameter of the gimbal, which is slightly larger than the knob (of the 3 axis one). You shouldn't need to remove the knob to mount these at all if you're making your holes the correct size (I've mounted both types in a custom controller, used a 38mm hole).

I realized my mistake. I didn't realize that the ring was removable.
