View Full Version : Safety advice with EX106+ servo (present load)

I've been working with a few EX106+ servos and had some issues with some.
I'd like to make sure I'm not putting too much strain on the motors and using them is a responsible manner.

The first thing that comes to mind is checking the Present Load: what would be a reasonable percentage
/what values should I keep the motors under ?
Also, are there any other safety advice (e.g. maximum operating time (with torque enabled), etc.)

Not sure if it is necessary, but I've typically lowered the max temperature to 60 or 65 (from 80C) on my larger servos. They do generate a lot of heat, and not all of the models vent it well (the EX-106 is a bit better at disappointing heat than some of the other models).
