View Full Version : A humorous (or inglorious) end to a Mech Warrior

So I have a Mech that I have tried to enter into active combat for mech wars for the past couple of years, but something always has brought it to its knees before competition day. Even though I was mech-less, nothing could stop me from going! I had to go to see all the bad-ass bots everyone brings to the event and enjoy the battles.

In prep for this year I again hauled the bi-ped off the shelf and figured my two year old son was old enough to join the world of robotics. I fired up the bot and set him walking toward my son (without the canons mounted of course) while I hid in the other room (ip camera).

When he heard the mech walking toward him and looked up at it, his face lit up with joy and he went running for it. Excellent!, I thought. He grabbed the bot, inspected it and decided it was a fine trophy for his tickle-me Elmo plane which has a storage compartment. He lifted the lid on the plane's trunk and shoved the bot in all within the time it took me to come running to the bots rescue. *crunch*

Sooo, looks like I am in the market for a new bot for 2013...
