I have 9 RX-24F servo's for sale, price is $85 each. They are lightly used, I have not used them besides testing to make sure they work since I bought them from Andrew. This includes servo, horn & screw, and a 4 pin cable. 4 of the servo's come with the HN07-N1 horn, the other 5 come with the HN07-101 horn. No other hardware included. PM me if you are interested, first come, first served with preference to someone buying them all at once.

I will include the 5 idler bearing sets as pictured for free if you buy all the servo's.

NOTE: ALL ITEMS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION, HOWEVER DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE HOBBY, I CANNOT ACCEPT RETURNS, SINCE I CANNOT BE ASSURED YOU DIDN'T BLOW SOMETHING UP.

Edit:
Remaining items:
4 RX24F with HN07-N1 horn
3 RX24F with HN07-101 horn
3 idlers

Literally, these servos were used a grand total of about 2 hours by me, FYI. These are nearly brand new.

A little offtopic perhaps but would these work with the Arbotix RX Bridge (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/p/arbotix-RX-Bridge.aspx)?
If so i'd definitely be interested, i never 'got over' an arm design (http://forums.trossenrobotics.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=1839&catid=member&imageuser=3599) i made on my first custom robot that turned out being too heavy for the shoulder ax-12, using 2 of these for shoulders should solve the problems though. (will fit it onto a hex to solve any weight issues for the legs)

So yeah, mind holding onto at least two while i try find out if i can use them with said bridge? ive been thinking up robot projects for a while again but i just cant drop the idea of those arms, this would make them feasible

The first line on the product page of the ArbotiX RX Bridge reads as such:

The ArbotiX RX-Bridge expands the capabilities of the ArbotiX Robotcontroller (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/p/arbotix-robot-controller.aspx) by enabling the use of DX-117 (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/dynamixel-dx-117-robot-actuator.aspx), RX-28 (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/dynamixel-rx-28-robot-actuator.aspx), RX-64 (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/dynamixel-rx-64-robot-actuator.aspx), and EX-106+ (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/dynamixel-ex-106-robot-actuator.aspx) Dynamixel Servos. This add-on board converts your existing ArbotiX Robocontroller TTL serial port into an RS-485 serial protocol.

The RX-24F is RS-485, so yes, it will work.

Nice, thanks Tyberius, just waiting on a reply from Inxfergy about a question i asked regarding my v1 arbotix and the rx bridge (checking if they're compatible) hoping to hear back from him somewhere this weekend :veryhappy:

Edit:
Hmm, no reply yet but found this on the Vanadium Labs site :(

Q: Can my ArbotiX control RX and AX servos at the same time?
A: No, the RX bridge converts your ArbotiX into an RX controller, when using the RX Bridge, the AX servo ports will be disabled.Looking at controllers that can combine the two now

It should be possible to control both AX and RX dynamixels if you implement the hardware logic buffer (full-duplex to half-duplex) described in the AX-manual and hook that up in parallel to the RX-bridge. Basically, the RS-485 transceiver has its RX and TX pins connected to the arbotix's RX and TX pins plus a third pin connected to the direction pin. The arbotix cheats a bit to control AX servos in software only by shorting the RX and TX pins together and using software to control when it is sending or receiving. If you build the circuit from the manual (or similar), it will connect and operate exactly as the RX-bridge does, but for AX servos.

Not really wanting to recommend it because it is quite expensive, but the CM-700 has all the hardware for both AX and RX servos already connected to a single UART. You can control both at the same time as all receive the same commands sent and the controller receives all responses sent (make sure all servos are named correctly).

Sorry for the late reply, been out of town at CES. The rx bridge will work with rx24 servos, but you cannot easily do both rx and ax servos with it. Honestly though, I probably would not recommend rx24s as a way to upgrade a shoulder as that joint is always under heavy loaod and rx24s don't dissipate heat well.

After a evening of browsing around considering everything from creating a circuit as described to getting a raspberry pi & 2 usb2dynamixels or even a cm-900 somehow (hehe) i guess a cm-700 would be the best option. thanks for the input tician.

Pmmed cire too, hoping Pyrotechnic-Robot doesnt want all since i guess he did pm first

Edit;
Dont 'worry about it' Inxfergy, hope CES was fun  And yeah i ended up gathering from your website that you cant combine the two with an Arbotix, guess i was to hasty (not checking the site first) to pm you about it hehe, and hmm, thought they would be just the little power boost i was missing, but lets not derail this tread too much (sorry cire!!) ill make a thread in the new arms forum to discuss this

Apologies to cire for continuing the off-topicness:
Getting a free CM-900 is pretty easy (pay only shipping). Just start a thread on the robotsource CM-900 forum asking for one and what you plan to do with it. If your project is interesting and you make it obvious that you will contribute something (code or just cool projects) back to the community they are trying to build, then they will usually ship one. It might be a good idea to wait until sunday afternnon or night to create the thread, since they are half a day ahead and the site doesn't do the best job of keeping new and/or updated threads obvious for more than a day. The entire system is built on the work by the LeafLabs/Maple group with special modifications for the CM-900 hardware and dynamixel servos. We got two just because we use so many of their products and usually release some code examples. Unfortunately, there is no motion engine yet. I was going to try porting the arbotix's, but I got sidetracked. I think I have most of it done and should have monday afternoon free to try it out (I found some Maple documentation about using flash for storing data, but haven't hardware tested).

Don't worry Suicidal.Banana unfortunately I am only looking to purchase two servos! I am using an Arduino Mega to control both RX AX and MX servos through a modified library and the Megas four TX/RX ports :D

Cool thanks :)

And decided to pass on these, nice deal as it is now that its been pointed out i cant really use them where i envisioned ill have to look at some stronger servos.

(Meaning to say, contact cire if your interested in these servos, he still has a bunch and its a very nice deal.)
