Hi,
I would like to use the Lynxmotion tube (http://www.lynxmotion.com/p-405-aluminum-tubing-30.aspx) to build a planar robot arm consisting of two or more dynamixel servos.
Does the Lynxmotion tubing connector hub 08 (http://www.lynxmotion.com/p-403-aluminum-tubing-connector-hub-pair.aspx) fit on the Dynamixel brackets FR07-H101 (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/p/Robotis-Dynamixel-FR07-H101K-Hinge-Frame-Set.aspx) and FR07-S101 (http://www.trossenrobotics.com/p/Robotis-Dynamixel-FR07-S101K-Frame-Set.aspx)?
Or can you recommend any other components to build/extend the arm.

Any comments are appreciated.

I highly doubt it. The Lynxmotion people don't actually publish measurements for their stuff, so it's hard to know what will actually work without buying one and testing it, but their gear is intended to git hobby servos, and the Dynamixel RX-24 size servos are bigger than hobby servos and use different main dimensions.

Honestly, for the use case you're suggesting, I'd just get my own aluminum tubing and drill holes where I need them.

Lynxmotion does provide a whole bunch of 3D files of all there parts. I have a whole set of them and made a quadropod robot. They can be found here:

If you cannot open them and need specific dimensions, let me know.

In case you do have the capabilities, make a 3D model and hook up all the parts in an assemble. Maybe custom make a connector in between?

So.. I checked this myself for you.

The hub diameter is 7.85, where as the H101 hole is 8 mm. So the big hole and extension fits. :happy:

The smaller holes don't line up properly, but... if you use small bolts with a max diameter of 1.85 mm you can still connect them. The mechanical engineer in me says this is bad practice but I will leave it up to you to decide.
