What would cause all 12 of my ax-12 servos to fail to read when using NUKE? They all have 7.5v of power and are wired into my arbotix chip?

A 9V 5A power supply is the minimum for reliable operation of AX servos. 12V 5A is most common other than 11.1V (3S) LiPo batteries.

The ax-12 manuals online say that it uses 7 to 10V. How do people use lipOS? Is this really the problem?

The pdf is for the old versions of the AX-12 that were intended for 8S NiMH batteries in the CM-5, but Robotis kits always included a 12V 5A SMPS. All new AX-12 are rated 9~12V (http://support.robotis.com/en/techsupport_eng.htm#product/dynamixel/ax_series/dxl_ax_actuator.htm), and all Robotis kits now ship with 3S LiPo batteries and 12V 5A SMPS.

How do people use lipOS?

3S LiPos, which are rated 11.1V and range from 9.6V to 12.6V, work pretty well.
