The Micromagic Systems MSR-H01 Hexapod Robot kit, which I purchased here at Trossen, has been meticulously assembled and configured. It is very "low-mileage", in like-new condition and perfect working order.

The MSR-H01 is a 3 degrees-of-freedom (DOF) hexapod robot kit consisting of precision laser-cut 5053 aluminum body and leg components. The 3 DOF for each leg are provided by three high-torque, ball-bearing, metal-geared servos, for a total of eighteen servos controlling the smooth and organic inverse kinematics (IK) driven motion of the robot. The IK engine is a dedicated PIC microcontroller unit (MCU) & supporting PCB running HexEngine firmware developed by Matt Denton of Micromagic Systems. The robot also sports a dual servo pan-and-tilt head housing an SRF04 ultrasonic sensor used for obstacle detection. A wireless PS2 controller has been added to the robot to allow the user to fully control the robot. In addition, a second microcontroller & supporting circuit board have been installed so that the robot can be programmed to perform autonomous tasks. Bluetooth interfaces have been installed on both microcontrollers to aid in the wireless control and programming of the robot. The hexapod is capable of four different gaits & variable walking speeds, all available from the PS2 controller, Bluetooth or ATOM MCU. All documentation is included in printed & electronic formats. Development software & IDE for ATOM Pro MCU also included.

The assembled robot kit includes:

* 26 red-anodized precision laser-cut 5053 aluminum body and leg components
* 12 Hitec HS-645MG high-torque, metal-gear servos for femur & tibia joints
* 6 Hitec HS-225MG high-torque, metal-gear servos for coxa joint
* All servos are ball-bearing equipped
* p.Brain-HexEngine microcontroller with Micromagic IK hexapod firmware
* p.Brain-SMB HexEngine carrier PCB with servo and configuraion ports
* p.Brain RJ232 configuration interface
* Pan & tilt head kit with (1) Hitec HS-225BB & (1) Hitec HS-322HB servo
* 6.0V 2800mah NIMH battery pack
* Battery pack switch harness

The following extras were added to the assembled kit:

* Wireless PS2 controller & wireless receiver
* BasicMicro BasicATOM Pro 28 microcontroller
* Lynxmotion Bot Board II carrier board for ATOM MCU
* SENA ESD-200 bluetooth interface for HexEngine MCU
* Sparkfun BlueSMiRF Gold bluetooth interface for ATOM MCU
* Devantech SRF04 Ultrasonic Range Sensor
* (2) Spare 6.0V 3300mah battery packs

Price: $400, Was $500 (Over $1300 invested)
Payment by PayPal, includes ground shipping, insured and track-able, to the lower 48 states.

Here are a couple of videos of the MSR-H01 in action. The first shows some of the body moves the hexapod robot is capable of. The second shows the hexapod running autonomous obstacle-avoidance code on the ATOM MCU which is driving the HexEngine MCU & the robot.
