Hi,

I recently purchased the PhantomX hexapod, assembled it according to the online manual and charged the battery with the delivered charger.

I can connect the robot to the PC and the "Blink" Demo code is uploadable and working.

When I try to run the "Hexapodtest" - Code, the Serial monitor gives the following message:

###########################
Serial Communication Established.
###########################
System Voltage: -0.10 volts.
Voltage levels below 10v, please charge battery.

This is rather strange, since the battery should be at about 11.5-12V according to the charger and the little monitor included in the kit.

I attempted to skip the "checkvoltage" command, the servos were actually moving, but not in the right way.

I wired everything according to the manual and the circuit seems fine when I look at it.

Arbotix-M is set to VIN, connected to the Power Hub in the back which is supplied by the battery.
2 legs are connected to the arduino board and 4 to the power hub, their IDs should be preset in this model.

Does anybody have a suggestion what could be wrong? I`d appreciate any kind of help,

greetings L

There's actually a bug in the test code - the voltage check command looks for the servo ID # 1 to report the voltage - so if there's not servo #1, the system mistakenly says 'low voltage' instead of 'servo missing'

I'm guessing that either a)you are missing servo 1 or more likely b)at least 2 servos have ID # 1.

When you commend out 'CheckVoltage' what data did you get from the serial monitor?

Did you go through the ID guide?

You are absolutely right, I actually found a similar thread in the forum after I posted this, I couldn`t delete mine in time though.

After I changed the IDs of the Servos it worked properly, thank you.
