I am trying to establish basic communication with my radio via mosi/miso on my arduino, with my final goal of controlling a little Hubsan X4 via my laptop (baby steps first).

Is there n00b code available that will assist me in establishing raw communication with my radio via Arduino mosi/miso?

Even better, is there n00b code that will assist me in establishing a radio sync with a Hubsan107 chipset?

I found this https://sites.google.com/site/mrdunk/Home/downloads but there are numerous missing libraries and the project owner points me here.

Googled it and found a library for working with the 6936 here http://www.pagemac.com/projects/arduino_cyrf6936

I had found that project before. That guy is using unguessable libraries.
pretty functions, can't do anything with them without the code.

There is a link on the page to download the CYRF6936 library and the source contains all the information you need to work with the class. The guy even provides an example sketch working with the lib and initializing the TX and RX modes of the 6936.

Good luck.
