(http://rteamrobotics.weebly.com/)We held a club build session yesterday to resurrect "Ra", our first club robot (which first-time competed maybe back in 2011 or 2012?). Its been languishing the last few years but has now been taken over by one of our newer club members.

Got it up and walking yesterday. Still got work to do on the gun/turret, camera system, and target system but shouldn't be to bad as we have a lot of re-use from our other mechs. We're hoping to get it all complete and ready to compete by Robogamess 2017.

Is that an OpenCM board? Looks like it to me :)

That is a OpenCM 9.04B board. We use it on a couple of our mechs, including my mech Apophis. I had a spare so we used it on RA. Finding the version of that board with the Dynamixel TTL connectors are hard. All the OpenCM 9.04 boards lately is the C version that only interfaces with the XL-320.

Benefits of the board are it's small and has the buffer circuitry. On other boards we have destroyed UART ports without the buffer circuitry.

Yes! I have a bunch of the connectors from Digi-Key, and get the bare "A" version of OpenCM 9.04.
They no longer have the B in stock, but the A and the C is available.
Someone who'd need the connectors without additional shipping cost could buy the "connector pack" for $5 and the "A" version of the board for $10 and come out ahead, assuming they'd be down for some soldering.

Next question is how much you pay for the airsoft barrel/rubber seal? Getting the $19 Amazon gun and cutting it up just to get the barrel ...

Made some more progress on the Ra re-build this weekend. We got the controller fully operational and mapped the controls correctly. Got the gun mostly installed... we're missing a couple of drive motors on the turret so still got some work to do there.
