First question is that it seems the digital outputs do not work if the instructions found here are correct http://msdn.microsoft.com/coding4fun/hardware/home/article.aspx?articleid=918687&title=Skype+Home+Automation
I am trying to test the outputs with LEDs including in the kit I just purchased and I can't get them to light.
Second question does anyone have experience with the project from the link. I am having problems with the Skype Automation Software as well.
How do you have the LED's connected to the outputs?
Also, I see that you posted on this same question on the Phidgets site. Did you happen to also see this post:
http://www.phidgets.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=1346&highlight=led+8+8+8+output
I wanted to mention it because it might help save both of us some time and accelerate the troubleshooting process:)
Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with Skype, but maybe someone else in the community might be able to chime in.

Alex I have seen that post you linked to, I added a question to the bottom of it hoping someone would have more ideas than the ones listed. I am having the same problem as the original poster. I have tried different LEDs and reversing them although I started with the short lead going to ground
What version is your board (What is displayed in the Phidget 21 Manager)?

Version 822
Also, are you sure that you have the short lead to the output port, and the long end connected to ground?
Just heard back from the manufacturer. There are some problems with the output ports on version 822.
Shoot me an email and we'll get everything set up for an exchange:)

I thought the short lead was typically the ground so I was connecting it with the short end going to ground. I have tried both as recommended in the post you linked to earlier.
Also, are you sure that you have the short lead to the output port, and the long end connected to ground?
Sorry, dude. You've got it all flip-flopped. Short lead is the cathode (negative) lead.
Sorry man! I'm going to shut up now before I flip-flop words that cause somebody to blow something up:o
