Hi Wayne!

I could totally be wrong (I'm not an expert on the SSC32 by any means) but I believe the SSC32 is strictly a servo controller. I think the ABCD pins are for adjusting the Baud rate. Have you checked out the first two pages of the SSC32 manual? There is a pretty thorough diagram explaining what the major points of the board are.
