Hi my name is Francis, I am new on thes and i need to know if you can help me in my proyect of hexapod.

About the PS2 controller, have you tried to program it in a way so that when you press a button, X for example, it automatically goes to mid-value range for as long as you hold the button? It might help give more precise control. I'm planning on doing that for Mech-Warfare. If it works, I'll be able to swing my turret around really fast to spot someone, then slow it down to minor movements when I'm aiming at their target plate.

I'm using the standard wireless receiver for PS2. I bought it from Trossen Robotics actually. But to be honest I'm not very pleased with it. It is rather unaccurate because the PS2 joystick has very short travel before reaching full value (0 or 255). I've tested RC control with very much better control. For more information about the PS2 controller, visit the Lynxmotion forum. They have one section dedicated for the PS2 controller.

The Turnigy can handle 2S (7,4v) and 3S (11,1v) LiPo's, so I think a NiMh should work. But the status LED's on the Turnigy won't show the correct power status for a NiMh. The output voltage can be shifted between 5 and 6v.

Hi Zenta, A question about your Turnigy DC to DC converters, Can these be used for NIMH batteries as I would like to install them in my J5 I will be building the same as Tyberius, It uses three NIMH batteries 12v,for Gear head motors 9.6v,for the ITX, and 6v for the servos. I would like to reduce the battery count to two and thought that I could split the 9.6v between the ITX and servos. Thanks, Mike
