    Thanks for getting back to me.

    As i said before, first i plan a path only considering the main map.. it will not contains things like chairs tables etc. while robot is moving on that...

    Hi,

    Can someone suggest me a good ultrasonic sensor??

    It should have a very good accuracy when used for a short range. (up to 1m. total range could be anything.)
    Better if it is a low cost one...

    Thanks mate.

    Following is obtained from their data sheet. It says output one pulse in every scan for 4ms. So i thought 28ms is for just one data point.
    "Output one pulse in every scan for 4msec."...

    I'am looking to buy a Hokuyo UBG-04LX-F01 laser range sensor for static (like walls) and dynamic(like people) obstacle avoidance in a indoor environment.

    There specs says that Scan Time...
