    Hi Brooks,

You might want to have two layers of sensor processors. The first is more reflexive and mainly does very little except gets the values of the sensors, checks to see if any are in the...

Quick update: I am redesigning SA-Groucho to be a two-wheeled balancing robot (AKA a Mobile Inverse Pendulum Robot). This will allow him to fit better in our home.

  4. Re: Need help for selecting sensors for deflection measurement

This is probably a ridiculous answer, but it might be less expensive than the alternatives.

Interesting. Thank you for bringing screw theory to my attention. I only had one course in kinematics and I don't remember anything about this, but it was 35+ years ago.

I learned interrupt programming back in the day to deal with sonars. It isn't difficult. The big thing one does in an interrupt routine is to make it very short (set a global variable) and return;...

    Re: Problem with Arbotix ADC

It would really help of we could see the code. However, a few questions:

    1. Did you set the pin as an input?

    2. Did you set the pin to be an ADC?

I'm a bit rusty and am not that familiar...
  9. Re: Hexapod walking disturbance due to to pulseIn() commands

I think that your problem is because the Pulsein actually waits for the pulse to come in, which can be long enough that it messes up your walking routine.

I have a couple of suggestions.

    1....

Re: Mounting 2 Cameras for Stereo Vision

For multi-camera vision you get the best results if you have a full definition of where all the cameras are. With a bracket, you'll be much more positive as to the exact location of the cameras.

    Question(s) Re: Dynamixel servo- 'Deadzone'

Would slip-rings work in the middle of a chain, or would they mess up the signal?

Question(s) Re: First Test of MX-64

My suggestion is to put it back on the Arduino again. Then you can make sure that the ID is set to 1 and that the baud rate is set to the rate set by the factory.

    Sorry, thats all I've got.

  29. Re: Confusion!!!! hexapod left and right legs move in oppoiste direction when same angle is given

Then if the left side moves differently than the right side, you'll know that you can...
