I've been using Arduino 1.8.whatever and tician's board definition on...
It's been awhile since I've messed with the FSR feet as well. I was using a Trinket for communication on the DXL bus and had a diode between TX and RX. Pretty sure there was some software logic...
Love the look of this one.. Nice stuff!
What address did you use for Trossen support and what is your ticket number? I do not see a support request for your issue in the system.

Whoa! Thank you! I updated to 0.0.2 and tested the ROS sketch on an ArbotiX-M in Arduino 1.8.2 with success.
This is great.
Party time! :D
Only days later do I find a new example of ROS on the HR-OS1.
You can find more information about this video on the author's github and the youtube video description.

 zero answers but I think that's because not many have done so. So far I've only used ROS on my OS1 in one instance and I was using it as a puppet to control another ROS robot over the network....
Sorry I missed this. At the moment I don't recall. I haven't used the software for a while. If you are still interested let me know and I'll get it in my queue. The WinRME source would serve more...
Sweet project! I love how massively tall this robot stands. Might be pretty crazy to scale it wider and make something like wall dividers that you or two people could push around.
Wooo! I saw these on instagram when I woke up. Very nice job :D
Afaik there isn't an available 3d printed foot switch for the PhantomX.. I'd love to try it out sometime ;)
You might also consider trying the firmware you initially flashed to the Arbotix just to see if things start working. It does sound like it could be the power source or you possibly have a break or a...
Thx. Chip-E is a simple bot but the combination of the robotgeek servos and the smooth oscillations do bring it to life. At some point it would be fun to see an alternate shell made or even...
afaik foot sensors are kinda experimental. There isn't any one implementation followed by a large number. You'll likely have to experiment with your own solution like on Zenta's latest quad. On a...
That terrain video :robotsurprised:
Such nice work Kåre! It moves so smooth and really keeps a level body. Are you using any type of inertial sensing or does the body remain level with the foot...
Hah thanks jwatte but it isn't all free time. Sometimes it's work time too but I'll admit they can be hard to distinguish every now and again.
Thanks Kurt! Most certainly fun if nothing else :)
That looks awesome! HD and 3D video while flying has got to be pretty amazing. What size frame do you need for that kind of payload and what...
Such a big question to answer since there's been a lot going on and a while since I've taken some time to reflect.
Some months ago there was talk about making it to the 2016 IRC in Korea and even...
Cool project!
How did you like using Fusion 360? I know of a few people who've tried it out recently and made some neat things :)
Your future plans look interesting, hope to see more for sure
Lol 1.8.0
If I wasn't so tired from updating arm manipulation packages all night I might have a look. It sure is some kind of challenge to keep up with all these interests isn't it?
Oh maybe this thread is a better one to say thanks Kurt.. Your work here is helpful to me :D
Hey Kurt.. Thank you for this. I'm working with Arduino 1.6+ and the Arbotix-M and now I can flash the ROS sketch I need :)
There is a link on the page to download the CYRF6936 library and the source contains all the information you need to work with the class. The guy even provides an example sketch working with the lib...
Googled it and found a library for working with the 6936 here http://www.pagemac.com/projects/arduino_cyrf6936
Sounds doable. Modify the head tracking program to include the action module and enable only the arm joints in that module. Then call the action you want while the head tracking program is running.
Can't you weld that sort of thing? That's usually what I see people doing on youtube.
Sure looks nice! The smoothed parts photo really nicely. Can't wait to see it moving around and towering over stuff ;)
Quite a bit is well tested with Indigo. That's not to say you won't get along fine with Kinetic also but if you start seeking info about past projects you'll likely find a lot more in Indigo and...
I took a look into your issue this morning and at first I found similar results. With the encoders running at 3.3V and a pullup on channel A and B I'd see missed pulses.

This is the raw signal I see from those encoders:

I'll second the use of the ESP8266. They are cheap and have a number of examples to build from. You can find them from various distributors and styles. Sparkfun for example has a board with built in...
Looks awesome so far!
You can find that tibia model in a HR-OS5 repo ( https://github.com/Interbotix/HROS5-3D-Models/tree/master/Assembly_STEP ) ;)
or...
Cute! I like it.. lots of parts hey?
I needed something similar with an Edison project in the past. You can find my solution on github:

Can't guarantee Intel has changed...
Sounds like you have made forward progress on your own. Indeed a good number of questions have been answered in other threads and with everything open source you can dig in and find some solutions to...
I'm heading out of town so I won't be able to help much. If you don't understand how the URDF / xacro file are assembled I recommend following the tutorials.

Sweet photo album! I'm diggin the SSSLidar :)
I believe the Arbotix-Pro is on hold until an updated version is released. Andrew is working on some improvements to the design.
Nice work! Pablo is coming along nicely :)
While not completely satisfied with the performance of my cheap oven it does get the job done for this sort of thing.. It's been modified a with a Zallus reflow controller but they don't seem to be...
