Re: Dumb Idea: So like... what about jumpjets?

Surprised no-one has tried low volume water-cooling for their servo MOSFETs. Wouldn't take much flow/tubing diameter.

Well guys. I'm at an impasse. Do I print it in the bright blue, coffee, or yellow gold PLA? Thinking a mix of coffee and gold, but not quite sure.

    Re: Printy The Mech

The intent is to have the femurs sit with the tibia servo flat to the ground, which will adjust the loading angle on the servo you mention to be more of an inline pull and less of a twisting torque....

    Printy The Mech

So, just got myself a 3d printer and decided to have another go at a mech.

Here's some teaser pics of the new legs:

AX-12A for scale. A little long, but around the same normal length.

Edit: I already had the chassis, just can't use it for parts for my nitro version. Used everything else though

This chip might be a good option, as it could be placed underneath the xbee/other RF board to shrink the transponder a little.

    Looking great!

Re: Being defeated by a Wii Nunchuk

Try powering the nunchuk directly off of a pair of AA batteries. At 1.8V when fresh, they'll provide the unit with 3.4V to work with. If the nunchuk draws that low, there's something weird going on.

  38. Re: Could we retrofit this AR tech/sensors for MW?

It's too connected into the whole network. A lot of hacking would be involved to modify it for our uses, which would require removal of the global element.
