    Question(s) Re: Servo mirroring

    Billy absolutely right.

I use trig functions so position calculations are not coupled to the AX-12 hardware values. Then simply convert angles to AX-12 goal position. Also the center value of 150...

    Question(s) Re: Multiple USB2Dynamixels?

If you want to use the API with 2 FTDI chips then you need to identify the FTDI device. You can do accomplish that with an index (FT_Open) or name using FT_OpenEX. The USB2Dynamixel API is just an...

    Question(s) Re: Multiple USB2Dynamixels?

Since you mentioned dxl_read_word and dxl_write_word, I'm assuming you're using the USB2Dynamixel API. The API uses the FTDI's FTD2XX DLL not a virtual com port. You have to modify the...

  14. Re: Robot goals. What are you trying to achieve with your robot?

@Al1970 and zoomkat, you're right the requirements a little thin.

  27. Re: Timeout problem with Forest Moon Dynamixel library

  28. Re: Timeout problem with Forest Moon Dynamixel library

The display you posted is exactly what happens when the manage LED is blinking when you send the "t". The order is

  37. Re: Timeout problem with Forest Moon Dynamixel library

Here's the problem... the AX-12 network is a 1/2 duplex 1Mbps (default) serial bus. The Bluesmirf is a full duplex 9600 to 115200 bps serial bus.

A full duplex bus uses one wire for transmit and...
  38. Re: Timeout problem with Forest Moon Dynamixel library

  39. Re: Timeout problem with Forest Moon Dynamixel library

I have other code... still has a bug in the response parser... but you're welcome to it. It uses listeners to update memory resident Dynamixel control table objects.
