Re: Mech Brawl in Tucson December 2015

I'm afraid that at the moment, it looks like I'll have to withdraw from the list of potential attendees. Sept. was not a kind month for us. We had to replace the water line to our house (250+ ft run)...

Dates aren't all that critical for me, but I think I bricked my servo controller. Accidently hit the update firmware button and it's been all downhill ever since.

Re: How do you cut your lexan parts?

I have always cut Lexan with a band saw, but if in an apartment environment, I'd probably use a coping saw, or jewelers saw.

I'll take a stab at your questions..

    1. The part between the gearbox and barrel is called a "Hopup"..I bought one to get measurements from, and made my own. The reason being that the spring wound...

Personally, I'd go with something solid state, like Jes' driver. The vibration of the robot walking could easilly cause false triggering with a reed switch.

Re: An Idea for adding missiles to combat

Maggots target panels are mounted on top of the turret. What ever the turret does, they do, but are not obstructed, so the enemy has a clear shot at all times.

    Re: 310 mm Airsoft Cannon
