I think we need to dress them up in a little snowsuit

Yes, but how about the board itself? I'm thinking fiberglass, maybe carbon fiber.

Most importantly, are snowbots more Burton type of snow shredders or upscale D&C?

"Once you go bot...you never go back" will no doubt become a common phrase of the future.

Personally, I wouldn't think it is a far leap for most people who have taken pleasure from machines. A robot that knows how to react on its own and can learn from past "sessions" (I don't know why, but that was tough to put in words when talking about a robot) would no doubt become valuable to some.

I would say that having an "intelligent" machine involved in personal sex lives would become an issue with privacy at some point. Just imagine if "session" data could be sent up to the manufacturer without your knowledge, or marketing data derived from such data, or the data showing up on your Twitter account.

I dunno about you, but I have come home unexpectedly early and found Otto perusing transister layouts... he seemed to be quite embarassed about it and denied any prurient intentions, but his PCBs were warm and he needed a battery charge. At least I didn't have to clean up his end effectors...
